Minute Repeater
Invented in the 18th century to tell time in the dark, this ingenious mechanism chimes to indicate the time. By simply pressing the button on the middle, the hammers strike the gongs. The low tones give the hours, the high tones give the minutes, and alternating tones give quarter hours. A mechanical orchestra, the minute repeater is one of the most technical complications in Fine Watchmaking.

The power reserve indicator displays the remaining operating time of the watch without reloading the spring. Once the power reserve has run out, the mechanism stops. Winding up your watch is a real ritual, a tender moment in which time seems manageable.

PERSONALISE YOUR WATCH WITH A STRAP
Whether it’s the color of the leather, the color of the stitching or the color of the side edges, the possibilities are almost endless to make your watch strap entirely unique. You can also add a design or text to the lining of your watch to make it even more special. The strap bar: a tailored appointment for you to discover in the Vacheron Constantin Boutiques.

HOMMAGE TO GENEVA’S HIGHEST WATCHMAKING TRADITION
The Traditionnelle collection is the supreme expression of the most demanding Geneva Haute Horlogerie traditions inherited from the 18th century. Imbued with history and a sense of rigorous discipline, Traditionnelle timepieces showcase technical refinement conveyed through eminently horological characteristics. From the simplest to the most complicated, these models pay tribute to craftsmanship and know-how passed on from generation to generation.
