Automatic watches

Invented in 1877 by Swiss horologist Abraham Louis Perrelet, automatic watches are watches equipped with a so-called mechanical watch. The later is wound by wrist movements that driven the rotor (or oscillating weight), thereby producing energy that is directly transmitted from the mainspring to the hands.
